NASA Hosts Web Broadcast around Asteroid Pass

On Friday, the QE2 asteroid will make a close flyby to Earth.

Asteroid to Sail Past Earth 

The 1998 EQ2 asteroid will get 3.6 million miles away from Earth on Friday. That distance is equatable to about 15 times the distance between Earth and the moon.

NASA will host a series of web-events on Thursday and Friday to cover this event. Tune in to see live views of the asteroid from a high-powered telescope and hear about NASA's plans for asteroid exploration.
