Strip Club Files Action In Federal Court

Reporter: Anna-Lysa Gale

PENDLETON COUNTY, W.Va. -- A new judge has been assigned to the case against the proposed Golden Angels strip club in Brandywine, West Virginia.

His name is Judge H. Charles Carl III. The owner of the proposed club found herself in court after the Pendleton County Commission president filed a complaint.

At a recent hearing the previous judge decided not to allow the proposed strip club to open. The new judge's secretary says the company behind Golden Angels Cabaret, also known as Pancakes Biscuits and More, LLC., filed an action in Federal Court recently.

They are hoping the action will invalidate the ordinance preventing the club from opening.

At this time, another court date has not been scheduled by the new judge.
