Bridgewater, Va. (WHSV) A Harrisonburg man has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing at the Perdue plant in Bridgewater Thursday night.
Iyad Jawad Al Shammar, 23, from Harrisonburg has been charged with attempted murder and malicious wounding.
The two others involved in the case are brothers: Elias Gutierrez and Jose A. Camarena Gutierrez. Both of them are from Bridgewater.
Elias is now in stable condition at U Va. Medical Center, while Jose was initially treated at RMH, but has since been released. It did not appear that Jose was stabbed in the fight.
"The three associates involved in the altercation have been suspended pending our investigation. We have additional steps to secure the facility and ensure all our associates are safe," said Joe Forsthoffer, the Spokesman for Perdue Farms, "We do have a policy, a very strict policy against any form of workplace violence."
"Our understanding is that this escalated from a personal argument. Two additional associates received minor wounds subduing the individual with the knife. Emergency services personnel were called to the scene as were the police. We are cooperating with the Rockingham Sheriff's Department and Bridgewater Police, as well as conducting our own internal investigation," said Forsthoffer.

FootballScoop.com is reporting Everett Withers is the next head football coach at James Madison University.
Withers is currently the co-defensive coordinator at The Ohio State University.
As of Thursday night, a high-level JMU source said no football coach had been hired, and no official contract had been signed.
WHSV Sports can confirm Withers is the primary candidate and barring any unforeseen complications is expected to take the helm of the JMU football program.
A press conference and official announcement from the school is expected Friday.
In 2011, Withers took over the North Carolina football program after Butch Davis was fired July 27th, just before the season started.
Withers led the Tar Heels to a 7-6 record and a loss in the Independence Bowl.
Withers and UNC beat the Dukes in the season opener at Chapel Hill, 42-10.
Since that season as interim head coach, Withers has worked at Ohio State as a defensive coach.
The Buckeyes have accumulated a 24-1 record with Withers on staff. Withers would bring 25 years of coaching experience to The Valley, including seven seasons in the NFL.
