New DUI Laws Take Effect July 1

Tighter restrictions on driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol will take effect on Sunday, July 1. New legislation will require everyone convicted of a DUI to have a ignition interlock device placed in their car. The device ensures the driver of the car is sober, by having them blow into a breathalyzer in order to get the car to turn on.

 

Virginia Bug Around Hits 20th Year

For the past 20 years one man has set aside the last Sunday in June to share his hobby with people in the Valley.

 

Members OK Wintergreen Resort Sale to Jim Justice

Wintergreen Partners Inc. members have approved the $16.5 million sale of the Virginia resort to Jim Justice.
