LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) -- Virginia is revising its management plan for black bears in response to a growing population across the state.

AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va --- So far, 1,600 cases of West Nile Virus have been reported this year. With five cases in Virginia and one case in Rockingham County, one man is working hard to protect his family after an experience with a mosquito-borne illness.

 

Father of Toddler Killed in Car Crash Wants to Prevent Future Tragedy

 

ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, Va -- The Beagle family wants drivers to realize the dangers of distracted driving that affected them and hundreds more people who knew and loved baby Kate.

Kate was only 17-months-old when she was killed last Friday. Police have not said what the exact cause of the crash was, but when police turned the car on at the scene on Friday, music blared out of the speakers.
