September 22, 2010 - One More Heat Wave (Hopefully)!

We ring in fall tonight, but summer holds on for a few more days, with a possible heat wave in store. Read all about it in today's blog!

Fall officially begins at 11:09 Wednesday night, but it sure doesn't feel like it. Temperatures today will top out in the 90's and will stay in the 90's for a few more days before relief comes this week.

The upside, if there is on, is that with the heat and humidity, we could pop out a few showers and thunderstorms and bring some much needed rain to portions of the Valley. That's the only potential upside I can think of, unless you're a fan of the hot and humid weather!

For those of us anxiously awaiting the fall temperatures, they will come soon! A cold front moves through Saturday bringing another slight chance of rain for us this weekend. The combination of cooler air behind the front and a cut off low pressure (there's a previous blog about this!), we'll have a dose of showers and clouds for much of the next work week.
