Let's face it. December was down right cold outside! But how far below average were we? Find out in today's blog!

Obviously we can't give the true December average until we hit the high today, but here's a little taste. Counting December 1-30, 2010, the average high temperature was 35.2 degrees. With highs on Dec 31 around 52, 53 degrees, our average high will be around 35.8 degrees for the month.

Whats our average you ask? 44.6 degrees. That means we're over 8 degrees below average for the month of December. Not too surprising, considering the pattern we were in.

We also picked up 5" of snow during the month of December. One moderate event on Dec 16, and two smaller events.

But as fun as the snow and cold were, we're starting 2011 with a warm day. If you were itching for a taste of spring - here it is. Enjoy it, because models are showing another cool down as we go into the second weekend of January.

And of course, Happy New Year to each and every one of you! This blog wouldn't a success without you!
