We're closing in on the end of the week, but it's getting hard to wake up in the morning with the cloud cover! Expect rain through much of Thursday afternoon - mostly light rain showers but we could have a steady band of moderate rain here or there. Great sleeping weather tonight!
Overnight lows stay mild in the 40's, therefore we're not concerned with frozen precipitation this time around. Rain showers pick up again near the Friday morning rush hour as the cold front approaches. That will be our last round of heavy rain (and maybe even a thunderstorm) for this storm system.
However, the weather doesn't calm down after the front moves through. Winds pick up around lunch time Friday and a High Wind Watch has been issued for the entire viewing area. Gusts up to 60 mph are possible from 11am Friday through the early evening hours.
We'll briefly clear out for Saturday, though another system is knocking on the door Sunday afternoon. Another good chance of measurable rain comes Sunday night and Monday!
