I think most of us realized that Phil would be shadowless this morning as a monster winter storm continued over Pennsylvania Wednesday morning. According to Phil -it's an early spring!
Phil can say what he wants, but we have more winter on the way here. It starts again late Friday night into early hours of Saturday morning. We could have a snow/freezing rain mix throughout the Valley and Highlands, with everything changing to rain later on in the morning hours. Nevertheless, travel early Saturday morning may be slick in some areas.
The rest of the weekend looks like typical football weather - some clouds for Super Bowl Sunday and temperatures in the mid 40's. It will be interesting in Dallas - as it was a balmy 15º there Wednesday morning. In addition, it will be snowing in Houston on Friday. However, it does look like the sun will return for the big game on Sunday with highs in the 50's.
Next week will be...interesting. I'm sure everyone hates when I say that now...
Another powerful cold front moves through Tuesday - and while it will stay at or above seasonal averages until then - another cold blast of arctic air comes behind it with temperatures falling back into the 20's and *maybe* around 30 degrees. The pattern remains rather active through the middle of February. You know I'll keep you in the loop!
