Of course more bad news for those of us who wanted a big snow - amounts look to be minimal in our area. Less than two inches are expected and many of us will only see a dusting of snow. As far as timing, we're looking at 5-8pm being the best time to see any measurable snow. If you don't see much snow at your home - you're probably not the only one!
A couple of schools have dismissed early on Tuesday - you can get the latest delays and closings on our webchannel.
I'm getting a lot of questions about the 16/17 of January - right now there is little agreement in the models with this next storm system - although it does look powerful. I will say that some models are keeping us warm for the upcoming storm, therefore rain would be the primary precipitation. The pattern stays very active for us all the way through the end of the month.
Another question is about "north" & "south" Valley - when I talk about the southern Valley, I'm mainly referring to Rockingham & Augusta Counties. Shenandoah, Warren & Page are central Valley, with Frederick/Clarke as the northern Valley. Hope that helps!
Please continue with the questions - I love them!
