Monday feels a tad less humid though dewpoints stay near 60º and high temperatures move toward the mid 80's. Most of us stay dry through Tuesday afternoon.
High pressure moves from Lake Erie to the Atlantic Ocean (off NC) Monday night through Tuesday, leaving us with a return flow by Tuesday afternoon. This southerly breeze bumps our temperatures to the upper 80's and dewpoint to the mid 60's. All in all - Monday holds the best weather of the week.
By Wednesday, high temperatures surpass the 90º mark while high pressure parks itself off the Carolina coast in its typical Bermuda High position. This is going to keep the heat and humidity cranking through Thursday. It's not until Thursday afternoon that we bring in the chance of showers and thunderstorms, though they will stay with us through the weekend. There are no signs of severe weather with the upcoming heat, though it's a bit too far out to tell with the weekend forecast.
The tropics may get interesting by the end of the week - computer models are toying around with what could be Arlene. Of course I'll keep you updated!
I hope everyone stays cool through this next round of heat!
