Clouds moved out quickly on Mother's Day - with another beautiful day expected Monday. High temperatures will be in the 70's through the week, though more unsettled weather returns for the end of the week and especially the weekend.
A boundary that stays to the west most of the week keeps us under sunshine, but by Thursday it begins to migrate towards our region. That will increase our humidity and our temperatures, along with the chances of showers and storms.
If you have outdoor plans this upcoming weekend, you may want to reschedule or have a rainy day plan. Right now it does look like our low pressure system because cut-off - meaning that it's no longer in the atmospheric flow - by the time we get to the weekend.
When a low pressure is cut-off, there's very little if any movement, since it's no longer receiving influence from the atmospheric winds. The system sits and spins for several days, bringing us continued cloud cover and rain chances from the end of this week into the middle of next week.
Soak up the sun Monday through Wednesday...you'll be missing it!
