This week's weather question is from Diane Deviers. "How does the dew point affect the weather vs. humidity, or are they the same?"
Click on the video for the answer.
In fact humidity and dew point can be confusing. While dew point measures the amount of moisture in the air, the humidity measures how close the air is to being saturated (percent).
Both dew point and humidity are very important in weather because they tell us about the water vapor in the air. And water vapor in the air, either high amounts or small amounts can affect the weather.
