A Valley school now has $1,000 for a new project.

In conjunction with Sunnyside Communities, WHSV-TV3 gave the Businesses Making a Difference grant to Donna Detrich, the guidance counselor at Ottobine Elementary Thursday morning.

The money will fund a program called Be 4 a Career.

Detrich says, "This project will focus the students on different careers. We'll do it a couple of weeks and then at the very end we'll have a full career day where area folks will come in and share their careers with the students."

Each month, WHSV partners with different businesses during the school year to award the grant to worthy school projects in need of funding.
