A $1,000 grant will go to help a Valley school.
WHSV TV-3 partners monthly with a local business to "make a difference" by awarding the education grant. Thursday May 24, the money was awarded to Pleasant Valley Elementary School.
Second grade teacher Cristin Iwanicki submitted the application to help with reading.
"We're going to use the money to buy a bunch of new books to be able to send home with the kids to read at night to practice reading."
