The Discovery Channel made a special stop in Churchville Wednesday.

Earlier this year, Churchville Elementary won a 21st century wireless classroom makeover through a Discovery Channel contest.

That makeover occurred Wednesday when the computer lab was installed.

It's a $45,000 system that does away with paper and pencil completely that includes 20 laptop notebooks with screens that can turn 360 degrees or lay flat like a piece of paper.

The system allows students to write directly on the screen.

"The notebooks are just incredible. The way we can use these, they're going to learn so much and be so much better for this gift," says teacher Beverly Roach who entered the school in the contest.

Seven-hundred-thousand schools across the nation entered the contest. Churchville Elementary was one of only five to win the wireless classroom.
