A new version of the SAT could spell bad news for students.
The College Board today announced SAT scores from last spring are the lowest ones in more than 30 years.
The high school class of 2006 was the first to take a new version of the standardized test, which requires students to write an essay.
But the College Board says that's not the reason for lower scores, but rather the fact that some students only took the test once instead of twice.
