Some Valley students are celebrating Veterans Day in a special way.

Students at McGaheysville Elementary were given the assignment of gathering information about a family member who was a veteran.

Armed with that information, they created this wall of honor, 250 strong!

An assembly was held Thursday morning where the students met some real live heroes including one of their own, First Lieutenant Heath Phillips, who was once their P.E. Teacher.
