Parents, teachers, and counselors across the Valley are talking with children about the news of Osama Bin Laden's death.
Emily Kibler is a guidance counselor at Elkton Middle School.
She says they're spending the last period of the day, which is like homeroom, as a time to explain the news to the kids, answer questions and facilitate a discussion about what this means.
She says some may be confused because of where they are developmentally.
"One because it happened, and they don't remember how it was before, or maybe not even remember the day of 9/11. And two, because you know, they just can't kind of grasp what it means for this one person to no longer be living," says Kibler.
Many students at Elkton Middle School were just one, two or three years old during the 9/11 attacks.
