Children from all across the world are spending the week at James Madison University for the 2011 International Student Convention.
Nearly 3,000 are attending the convention aimed mostly at Christian homeschoolers.
Students from almost every continent are gathered to compete in many different areas from basketball to woodworking, but one organizer says the convention is more than just competition.
"It is just a great learning experience for our students to come and interact with kids from different cultures and different countries all around the world," says Greg Mutsch, Director of Business Administration for Accelerated Christian Education.
The event is organized by Accelerated Christian Education.
Children from as far as New Zealand are in attendance for the weeklong event.
