Education and military leaders are teaming up to help the children of West Virginia military families.
A ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday on the north side of the state Capitol Complex in Charleston. Among those attending are representatives from the state Department of Education and each branch of the military.
The partnership is aimed at promoting mentoring, training and scholarship opportunities for all students. It also would create networks of people, organizations and other resources to help support children of military members.
In April, the state Board of Education approved the Common Ground: Education and Military Partnership agreement.
