Children in the Valley got hands on experience Sunday learning about science.
The second annual NanoDays event took place at the ExploreMore Discovery Museum in Harrisonburg.
Local high school and college educators came together to enhance public awareness about nanosciene and technology.
Children got to see how small things they can't normally see serve large purposes all around them.
"It's important to nurture, to put the little seed inside of every child from early ages; what can we do with nanoscience. Nanoscience essentially changed our lives," said Dr. Costal Constantin, assistant Physics Professor at JMU.
The NanoDays event has only been in the Valley for one and a half years, and already fifteen educators are involved.
