Gov. Bob McDonnell's second annual conference on energy convenes in Richmond this week, bringing in industry leaders and hundreds of exhibitors.
The conference begins Monday and runs through Wednesday.
The first day kicks off with a Southern States Energy Board luncheon headlined by Christine Todd Whitman, the former governor of New Jersey and a past administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency.
Later Monday, the leaders of three industry giants will speak.
They are Thomas Farrell of Dominion Resources, Michael Quillen of
Alpha Natural Resources and Michael Petters of Huntington Ingalls
The energy conference has become a showcase for McDonnell, who
has made energy a cornerstone of his administration.
Clean energy advocates area also scheduled to press McDonnell to
push harder for solar and wind power.
