Painting Workshop

A famous artist was in Staunton's Gypsy Hill Park Tuesday to provide some painting tips.

About 30 people from all over the country came out to the park to improve their painting skills under the eye of Albert Handell. The Beverley Street Studio in Staunton brought in Handell, and his wife, Anita, to teach painting workshops.

Linda Keely, who came from Maryland, was impressed with Handell's talent.

"It was amazing to see little marks everywhere finally just turn into a composition," said Keely.

Handell will be conducting daily workshops all week demonstrating pastel and oil painting techniques.
