Augusta County is one step closer to having a new recreation center after $1 million was added to the fund.
The fund currently totals almost at $2 million, but they'll need a little less than $7 million to build the center.
However, supervisors are confident the funding will come through.
"Everybody was in-fact supportive the bottom line is finding the money. Everyone spoke very favorable. There's no one I know on the board that questions the need for it," says Supervisor Wendell Coleman.
Supervisors are hoping to have funding figured out by next year’s budget.
