Big Brother, Big Sister Federal Grant

A major federal grant was awarded Monday to a non-profit organization in Rockingham County.

Congressman Bob Goodlatte announced that the u.S. Department of Education awarded Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Rockingham County a $600,000 grant.

The grant span will help boost academic performance for more than 600 city and county youths.

The Harrisonburg and Rockingham Big Brother and Big Sisters Organization serves more children than any other chapter in Virginia.
