Moving Buildings the Old Way

The Frontier Culture Museum decided to begin moving some of its buildings around the old fashion way.

They pulled a 200-year-old smoke house by horse to show how buildings used to be moved.

The move was recorded for the History Channel show, Mega Movers.

All the buildings in the American farm will be moved in one piece later this month.

Museum officials say they wanted to compare old methods of moving buildings with modern ways.

Day Ray Wright says, "Instead of using John Dear equipment or whatever, we're using strong horses. So it is indeed a study of history."

The modern equipment for moving the rest of the building started arriving Wednesday.
