The day of thanks is a week off. On Thursday night, hundreds of people had a lot for which to be thankful.

The Harrisonburg and Rockingham County Boys and Girls Club, hosted their annual Thanksgiving dinner, which was catered by Wood Grill Buffet.

All ages were welcome, and Sudan Ellington who works at the Boys and Girls Club says, it was a great chance for club members to give back to the community.

"To see that we are a non-profit organization, and for a non-profit organization to give back, that's always a blessing," says Ellington.

Organizers say although it was supposed to be free dinner for the first 200 people, they wouldn't turn anyone away.
