It was an early, but free, feast for a Staunton shelter Monday night.
The kitchen staff and students at Mary Baldwin College cooked a full Thanksgiving meal and donated it to the New Directions Center.
The center serves those who have been emotionally, physically, and sexually abused.
"In lieu of providing our students their Thanksgiving meal today, we just extended that service to them," said Tracy Hiner, the executive chef. "The team was very excited about it."
The meal consisted of turkey, gravy, dressing, and other Thanksgiving comfort foods for about 25 people.
