The dining room was full at the Valley Mission in Staunton as volunteers served Thanksgiving dinner to the homeless from around the area.

The meal, which lasted for four hours, gathered big crowds serving up traditional turkey, cranberry sauce, and even pumpkin pie.

People who came in to sing holiday songs entertained diners.

Volunteers say they donated their time Thursday in order to help those less fortunate.
