In Harrisonburg, volunteers gathered at the Little Grill to prepare a Thanksgiving meal for anyone in the community.
With several donations, volunteers prepared ten turkeys, 60 pounds of sweet potatoes, and 100 pounds of mashed potatoes. There was plenty of food to go around for people who needed a hot meal.
For one volunteer, this was her first time spending Thanksgiving away from her family, so she decided to do something a little different.
"Mashing potatoes, moving tables, trying to arrange tables to get in as many people as we can, it's just a big old team effort in there," says volunteer Mary Bowman.
Tables and chairs were set up outside to accommodate everyone who came to enjoy the Thanksgiving feast.
