Bison Get $3,000 Donation

Buffalo Gap High School took a big step on Tuesday in its efforts to raise money for state title rings for the football team.

The Staunton Community Bank donated a check for $3,000. It's the largest donation yet, and it covers nearly a third of the funds needed for the rings.

"We really wanted to make a statement," said Benny Werner, from Community Bank. "Let's get this money for them very quickly, as quickly as possible, so they can get their rings and enjoy it."

The Bison finished 14-0 this season, and captured the first state title in the football program's history.
