A 13-year-old Valley boy faces charges for allegedly bringing Oxycontin to his school with the intent to sell it. Now parents want to know why they haven't been told about what happened.

Trish Stabile has strong reaction to the news about a 13-year-old student from Signal Knobb Middle School who is now charged with the possession of Oxycontin with the intent to sell on school grounds.

Allegedly the student took about ten tablets from his parents and gave them to four other students, who are also being charged with possession.

"I'm upset. I hope he's not in that school and he probably should be in drug rehab. I don't know. Parents are suppose to be held accountable until the kids are 18," says Stabile.

Stabile is helping to raise her 14-year-old niece who is a student at the same school. She wants to know why she wasn't informed of what happened in this incident involving other students.

"We need to know and there should be repercussions if you keep secrets from us, because that's how stuff grows. When you keep a secret, it gets bigger, and bigger, and bigger and there's more problems. Where if it's out in the open, you're not going to do nothing, because you know everybody's going to find out. People need to be held accountable," adds Stabile.

The incident took place in November, but the county sheriff's office recently wrapped-up its investigation. The office and the school's administration just released the information regarding the incident.

Attempts were made to contact school officials regarding this incident. However, due to the holiday, there were no officials available for comment.
