Educating on Drug Use

The Staunton Police Department is teaming up with the National Child Safety Council to educate children on the dangers of using drugs, but they also need help from the community.

They're seeking donations from the community and local businesses to help cover the costs of materials.

They say $2 a child should help the cause.

Checks can be made out to the National Child Safety Council and mailed to the Staunton Police Department at 116 W. Beverley St., Staunton, Va., 24401.

Everyone who supports the program will be recognized prominently on every activity manual purchased with the money.

For more information, contact Officer Lisa Klein at (540) 332-3852.
