New "Green" Web Site

One local woman launched a new web site Thursday to give you some tools to help you go green.

Teri Kent started the site after gathering information for a year about some of the most-asked green questions. Some of the questions include battery recycling or getting better gas mileage with a car.

"It's already been great," says Judith Christian, a supporter of the Web site. "I found free recycling sites and answers to questions about recycling things."

Kent said she chose the name Betty for the site, because she wanted to re-create the Betty stereotype from the 1950s by making her someone who takes care of the Earth and not just the kitchen.
