Road Crews Prepare for Snow

Residents and road crews in the Valley are preparing for a storm that is expected to dump one to four inches of snow on Thursday.

Crews have more than 30 stationed trucks ready with a mix of salt and rock in preparation for the storm.

Officials say they are ready to deal with minor, moderate, or severe road conditions, and crews say there is a lot that drivers can do to help the situation.

"You're going to have some cold spots," says Don Komara, Virginia Department of Transportation. "Give us an opportunity to get on those hills and curves and put out something that will give you traction through there."
