The sheriff's office in Rockingham County is reporting a stolen safe from the Moose Lodge on South Main Street in Timberville. Officials say the safe was stolen over the weekend. It had more than $2,300 inside. There were no signs of forced entry.
In Augusta County, the sheriff's office is trying to find several stolen guns.
The first case was reported in Fishersville on Friday. The weapons were taken from the 1100 block of Barrenridge Road. They include a pistol, a rifle, and a hunting knife, all valued at more than $3,200.
The next case was also reported on Friday in Greenville. Deputies say two pistols, two shotguns, and three rifles were taken from a home on Deer Trail. They are worth $4,400.
Also in Augusta County, someone drove off without paying for $412 of diesel fuel at the Virginia Truck Center in Weyers Cave. That happened some time during the first ten days of this month.
Staunton police say someone stole a Playstation and a flat-screen TV on Tuesday. Those items were taken from a home on the 400 block of Ann Street. The stolen electronics are worth $2,300.
The sheriff's office in Shenandoah County has arrested a 19-year-old woman for allegedly selling cocaine and meth. Deputies say Ellie Renee Maiette sold $1,200 of the illegal drugs to a confidential informant during the past eight months. Maiette lives on Lakeview Drive in Woodstock. She was arrested last Monday.
