Staunton says it wants people to get a feel for the city's history, even when they're riding the Queen City's public transportation.

At a ribbon cutting Wednesday, Staunton introduced two new trolleys to replace the old green ones that have run their course and were in need of replacement.

The city says it continued to use the trolleys for tourism and to remind people of when a trolley used to run through downtown. Town officials say they got the job done.

"They are part of downtown, but they also do serve a purpose. We've had over 360,000 passengers in the two that we had. So I think it says something about their functionality," says Lacy King, Mayor of Staunton.

The trolleys are exactly like the ones they're replacing, even down to keeping the same names.
