More JMU Applications

James Madison University has received a record number of applications for admission to next fall's freshman class.

JMU admissions director Michael Walsh says 19,350 students have applied for admission, up four percent from the 18,600 who applied for the current academic year.

A total of 3,960 spaces are available for the 2008-09 freshman class. University officials say applicants will receive notification of admission decisions on April 1.
