Miss Virginia Visits Valley Students

Stuart Hall School in Staunton got a visit from the reigning Miss Virginia on Thursday.

Hannah Kiefer visited the school to give a presentation called "Right Decisions, Right Now." The interactive session is about healthy choices for teens.

It covered a variety of issues that teenagers face from drinking to dating to bullying.

"I just try to make it real," says Kiefer. "I'm a 21-year-old college student, so it wasn't too long ago that I was in their shoes. I just try to hit home, a real speech they can relate to and hopefully take away something valuable from."

Kiefer won the Miss Virginia title last July. She will continue traveling to Virginia schools during the next several months.
