One Wisconsin woman is celebrating her 24th birthday, at the age of 96. Tillie Iverson is a Leap Year baby, born on February 29, 1912.
She hasn't had many opportunities to enjoy her actual date of birth, so this year, family members from as far away as Florida, Ohio, Nevada and North Carolina are visiting and helping her celebrate.
Iverson says she never really liked being a Leap Year baby. Like others, she says she's celebrated her birthday on either February 28 or March 1. But she says neither day is her birthday, and that she feels like she's been "shorted."
Iverson worked as a midwife and helped deliver 42 infants over the years. She lives in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, and still handles many of her daily chores, often with the help of a sibling.
