Police are offering a $20,000 reward to catch a man who has robbed at least eight banks in York and Henrico counties.
According to the York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office, the series of robberies began in November 2006 when the man robbed a Williamsburg bank. The most recent incident was February 25 when he tried to rob two banks in Hopewell.
Police say that in most of the stick-ups, the robber used a silver revolver, jumped over the bank counter and demanded money from the tellers.
He disguises himself with a fake beard, baseball cap and a piece of tape across his nose. He wears blue jeans, a thick flannel shirt and gloves.
