School Census Letters in the Mail

People living in Harrisonburg will soon get a letter from the school board, if they haven't yet.

The board is mailing out its yearly census materials. All adults, including those without school-age children, are encouraged to complete the form.

The census data is used to determine the portion of state sales tax revenues that support public education programs.

The school district also uses the information to help forecast future school enrollment and funding requirements.
