Virginia's unemployment rate stayed at 3.8 percent in February, unchanged from January.
The Virginia Employment Commission reported Wednesday that the number of unemployed workers decreased by 700 to 154,600 in February.
The commission said the February rate was well below the national rate of 5.3 percent, but it was up from the 3.2 percent rate in the same period one year ago.
Among Virginia's 134 localities, Arlington County again had the lowest rate, at 2.3 percent, and Martinsville remained the highest, with 11.9 percent.
