Thursday night's rain couldn't keep people in Staunton from enjoying music for a good cause.

"Shakin' at the Station" kicked off its summer of local entertainment with the Hackens Boys.

All proceeds from each event this summer will go toward local charities and organizations. Thursday's event benefited the Augusta County Volunteer Fire Department.

"We just have a good time, get out of the house," says Abe Kodget, who attended Thursday's event. "Kick off the summer, listen to good bands and just mingle with people. I guarantee I'll be here again. I just love getting out here and listening to music."

"Shakin' at the Station" runs every Thursday through August 28, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Next week you can help the United Way and hear music from the Goodson Brothers.

Do you know who to contact that is in charge of Shakin? I need the schedule for the nonprofits working the event.
