The bill has been delivered and tax payers will have to pay for an investigation conducted by the Harrisonburg City School Board.

The total cost is $27,000 for looking into allegations of drug use among Harrisonburg High School football players.

The investigation was looking to see if school employees or students violated any school board policies.

Superintendent Dr. Donald Ford says the board will continue to review its policies.

He says they will work diligently to make sure parents and teachers all understand what to do should another situation like this one arise in the future.
