Its fun for the whole family... whether you have a sweet tooth or not.
The 3rd annual Sweet Dreams festival was back in Stuarts Draft today.
People from all over the valley came out to the event sponsored by local sweets giants Hershey and Little Debbie.
Augusta county residents said it was a great day especially for their area.
"Its a whole community event," says Cathie McQuin an organizer for the event.
"It's a good family day event day good day just to come out and have fun and watch the kids have fun," said Daune Wilson who visited the event.
Organizers say the event is a natural fit for the area.
"We've got a park here at Stuarts Draft and the home of Hershey and McKee products, so why not celebrate all that draft has to offer," says McQuine.
And the theme of the day was sweet goodness...
Whether it was the food...
Or a life size replica of a new board game based on the good eats of the day.
Arts and crafts and community sponsors were out meeting people of the area.
"It seems like there's a lot of different businesses putting their time and effort into everything making it all worthwhile for the adults and kids," says Mark Wilson. "I mean the rock wall is a blast for the kids."
"i was thinking its getting really hot, and at the top those holds are really small so you can't really hold on very well," says Tyler Diegel, who climbed the wall today. "I just thought maybe i could pull myself up."
At the end of the day event organizers say the dream came true.
"I'd say for the day its sweet, just like the event," says McQuine.
Organizers say the event has grown a lot in size from last year.
They're looking to expand it even more next year.
