Rush Expected to File Early

The weak economy has a lot of people thinking about filing their tax returns early to help them pay bills and cover other expenses.

Some 2.6 million Americans lost their jobs last year, so tax preparers are getting ready for an influx of taxpayers who can't wait until spring to get their refunds.

Liberty Tax Service in Winchester is already seeing heavy traffic at the start of tax time.

Brian Barto, an employee at Liberty Tax Service, says, "Everybody wants to know how much am I going to get and how fast can I get it."

If you're looking for a quick refund, consider filing your return online and getting money deposited directly into your back account.

Taxpayers can start filing returns January 16.
