It's a pretty common practice for people to head back to school, but at 60 one local woman proved it's never too late.

And now at 80, she's working to give back to the community she loves so much.

Odile Proctor graduated from JMU back in 1988, with a degree in accounting and became a CPA.

She and her husband moved to the Valley back in 1983.

For more than 10 years she's been working with AARP helping people file their taxes for free.

"People just have no idea what to do and yet they know that they have to do it, and it's very self satisfying," says Ms. Proctor.

Ms. Proctor doesn't show any signs of slowing down after tax season.

She also spends time helping senior citizens with their Social Security issues throughout the year.
