Volunteer Dinner

They help keep everything going for the Salvation Army and Monday night the community organization wanted to say thanks.

The Salvation Army hosted their annual volunteer appreciation dinner at First Presbyterian Church in Harrisonburg.

Hoe-down was the theme of the night.

Throughout the year volunteers lend a hand from ringing bells to collecting coats for kids.

Our very own Bob Corso served as the speaker for the evening and even received an award for his work with the group.

WHSV General Manager Tracey Jones received the group's "Doing The Most Good Award" for her hard work over the years.

Thanks to the help of their volunteers the salvation army has been able to live up to its motto "Doing The Most Good."

This past year they have been able to raise more than 100,000 dollars.
